Explore Beijing Daxing’s radial terminal, central court and daylight strategy, with the joint design team’s roles clearly distinguished.

Research notes
The terminal brings a very large transport program into a plan organized around a central meeting point.
Daxing’s terminal was developed by a joint team including Zaha Hadid Architects and ADP Ingénierie, with BIAD and CACC involved in delivery. ZHA’s account distinguishes its architectural role from ADPI’s terminal-planning responsibilities.
Five piers extend from the central court. Roof openings and the shared center help passengers understand their position in the building; the architectural interest lies in how a repeated radial diagram organizes movement at airport scale.
