Architecture & history

The Robert M. Lamp House is a residence built in 1903 two blocks northeast of the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison, Wisconsin, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for his lifelong friend "Robie" Lamp, a realtor, insurance agent, and Madison City Treasurer. The oldest Wright-designed house in Madison, its style is transitional between Chicago School and Prairie School. In 1978 the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

This atlas combines the Avery architectural drawing inventory with a published building index. Individual profiles link to their references. An archive record does not, on its own, establish that a building was constructed. Unknown construction dates and missing photographs are marked explicitly; unbuilt schemes are never presented as completed buildings.

Longer reference overviews and building-index material are adapted from Wikipedia contributors under CC BY-SA 4.0. Each photograph has its own creator, source and reuse licence. Restricted architectural drawings are linked to their archive rather than reproduced.
